At Dr Leonie Aesthetics, Mission Medical, we believe our clients deserve the highest standard of care. That is why we use T-Lab, a leading haematological separation device, to prepare PRP and PRF.
The process involves collecting your blood into two vials. We then place the vials in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood components.
By concentrating your platelets, the T-Lab system allows millions of platelets to be injected into the skin. These platelets contain growth factors that, once activated, stimulate your body’s fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. This supports skin rejuvenation.
As we age, collagen and elastin levels decline, which can lead to wrinkles, sagging, and reduced skin radiance. PRP and PRF are designed to help slow this process. These benefits are supported by scientific evidence.
PRP:
Suitable for treating larger areas where greater volume is needed.
PRF:
Has a higher concentration and is often used for smaller, targeted areas such as around the eyes and mouth, and can also be injected for lip rejuvenation.
Preparation: Please arrive well hydrated and drink at least 1 litre of water before your procedure. Numbing cream may be applied to the face to improve comfort.
Aftercare: Rest for a few hours after your treatment. Stay cool, keep well hydrated, and leave the serum on your skin for about 4 hours before washing it off. You may use ASAP Soothing Gel after treatment. Normal cosmetics can usually be applied the following day. If microneedling was included, you may experience a sensation like mild sunburn.
